If you find you are having problems with Punk buster please download the attached PBupdater file to manually keep your punk buster updated

I have also added 2 pictures to help you through the update proccess

1. run the file from within the zip file

2. select the game you wish to update, in this case battlefield bad company 2 ( as show in the 2nd image )

3. click check for updates

if you have any updates that are available they will update and present you with a window with ok to click

As for EA we need to remember that this is a new game and will have its teething problems. I guess patches will be released to make good the problems players experience as soon as possible
